A solo trip

This trip to Cancún has been a little different than usual. For the first time, I’m on vacation without James. He had to travel for work, so I decided not to let that stop me from enjoying some much-needed  me time away at Haven Riviera Cancún.

There’s something both strange and liberating about traveling alone. I miss having James beside me to share the little moments, but I’ve also enjoyed slowing down, taking photos, relaxing by the water, and doing exactly what I want, when I want.

Haven has been the perfect place to escape for a few days—beautiful surroundings, great food, sunshine, and plenty of time to simply breathe and recharge. This trip has reminded me that it’s okay to take a little time for yourself—even when your favorite travel companion has to travel for work.
